White House Bars Times and Other News Outlets From Briefing

WASHINGTON — Journalists from The New York Times and several other news organizations were prohibited from attending a briefing by President Trump’s press secretary on Friday, a highly unusual breach of relations between the White House and its press corps.

Reporters from The Times, BuzzFeed News, CNN, The Los Angeles Times and Politico were not allowed to enter the West Wing office of the press secretary, Sean M. Spicer, for the scheduled briefing. Aides to Mr. Spicer only allowed in reporters from a handpicked group of news organizations that, the White House said, had been previously confirmed.

Those organizations included Breitbart News, the One America News Network and The Washington Times, all with conservative leanings. Journalists from ABC, CBS, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Fox News also attended.

Reporters from Time magazine and The Associated Press, who were set to be allowed in, chose not to attend the briefing in protest of the White House’s actions.

“Nothing like this has ever happened at the White House in our long history of covering multiple administrations of different parties,” Dean Baquet, the executive editor of The Times, said in a statement. “We strongly protest the exclusion of The New York Times and the other news organizations. Free media access to a transparent government is obviously of crucial national interest.”

The White House Correspondents’ Association, which represents the press corps, quickly rebuked the White House’s actions.

“The W.H.C.A. board is protesting strongly against how today’s gaggle is being handled by the White House,” the association president, Jeff Mason, said in a statement. “We encourage the organizations that were allowed in to share the material with others in the press corps who were not. The board will be discussing this further with White House staff.”

I’m still playing The Sims 4 but was going through some old Sims 2 stuff last week and decided to reinstall the game. Then found an old folder with stuff I thought I had lost, so I was really excited and I wanted to play the game with a proper University/Dorm life and a proper Business where people actually pay at a cash register and they weren’t just for managing employees. Anyway, these were two of my favorite houses in The Sims 2. I can’t remember where the first one is from but the second I think was from Parsimonious, although it’s gone now, Since I looked for it a couple of years ago.

Hey everyone,

The latest patch has made a small change to the XML code used in buff files, renaming “gameplay_effect_modifiers” to “gameplay_effect_modifier” (note the lack of plural). In this small change, buffs that use the old name no longer work.

This means that gameplay modifiers, such as changes to need and skill rates, applied to buffs will no longer work. This includes the vast majority of custom traits.

I have updated both The Sims 4 Buff and Trait Factory and The Sims 4 Mod Constructor to accommodate the change. Although I’m no longer supporting BATF, I understand there are still some people who use it, so I didn’t want to leave those users in the dark. As for Mod Constructor, I’m still working on the new version simultaneously with the new version of Go to School, but for now, the old version is the only public one and has been updated.

Now, as for existing mods…

I have created a special tool that reads .package files and automatically performs a find-and-replace on buff resources. If you are a mod user, you can simply run the program and you’ll be able to use the mods again without redownloading anything (assuming that nothing else broke with the patch). If you are a mod creator, you can run the program and then reupload the package.

You can run the repair tool on multiple .package files at once. I recommend running it on every gameplay mod you have, to ensure that all the effects work properly.

These actually aren’t bad for when you want something sweet but you’re watching what you eat.

I’ve tried several different alternates, like replacing the raisins with cherries and non fat or 1% milk instead of almond milk and want to try replacing milk altogether with fresh juices from the juicer. Like it says, no sugar and there’s also no flour.

My sister and her kids all looked at me like I was crazy when they tried them, so if you are used to having daily iced coffees with 100 sugars, a bucket of cream and jamochaalmondwhatever you will most likely hate these.

Yes tell that to my dogs who jump in circles around me until I pick them up and hug them whenever I come home. And it looks these big babies disagree with this study as well. :)

Another day sitting in traffic for 45 minutes to go to a store less than two miles away has me looking for a new home in The New Hampshire White Mountains area once again. I could sell my house (which is a quarter the size of this museum quality restored 1795 Federal) and pay off almost all of it in cash. So when browsing the neighborhood in bing maps, I came across this weird/fab dish washing gloved lady/ghost/scarecrow on the side of a nearby country road. Looks like I’m staying in the Boston suburbs a little longer.

Just a note, the font on the blogspot page is completely messed up. As in, a lot can't even be read. Please consider using a generic family type.

Here is the requested Alesso Nocturnal clayified~ It’s enabled for males and females in all 18 EA colours. The mesh is not included so you will have to download it here for it to show up in game! This hair doesn’t work with the body sliders so bigger sims will get some seriously clipping through their breasticles.

A few Massachusetts businesses swallowed by Walmart in the last 20 years!

There’s still some Big K stores left but I’m sure it won’t be long until another business is dead for the exact same piece of crap on a different shelf, one city over. Sears is most definitely going down after that.

A few years ago I was shopping at the local Walmart (now there’s four more within 5 miles) and suddenly stopped, left everything I had in my cart, when I saw the new food section. Thinking local farm stands and local supermarkets were next, and yes, that has already started. The fruit and vegetables looked like they were grown next to some shit hole gas station, and seeing how Walmart operates, I wouldn’t doubt if they were.

Good luck future American owned small businesses, you’re never going to happen.
